David Wilson is the husband of Elizabeth Wilson and the father of Carter, Taylor and Grant Wilson, and allegedly the father of Ben Wallace.
He is a main character in Finding Carter and portrayed by Alexis Denisof.

Personality
David is very easy going, relaxed and appears to be carefree. He enjoys being the "cool dad" compared to his wife, Elizabeth who is a bit more strict on the kids. He is calm and level-headed, and has a significant amount of trust in his children. He is known to hide parts of the truth, as demonstrated by him taping family therapy sessions and writing his sequel behind Carter's back.

According to the birthday party section for "Finding Carter", David knew from the getgo he had the upper hand, because Carter had never had a father. He sought after every chance to get her approval.
David was the first parent to develop a healthy relationship with Carter and the second Wilson who developed a healthy relationship with her. To her knowledge, he didn't betray her, but when she found out that he did betray her and record conversations and write "Finding Carter", she was upset with him.
